CTR Cookies for Valentines Day

I made these for my nephew who was expecting a mission call on Valentine’s Day.  I thought this would be a great idea for primary close to Valentines Day as well.  Even without the shield shape I loved how these turned out.

I have been experimenting with different icings.  This was actually done using a thin Buttercream recipe.  It is much harder to control, but much tastier than Royal Icing.  For the CTR letters I made Royal icing so I could have the control I needed for the letters.  I definitely will make these next year.  I need to find a CTR cookie cutter to make more traditional CTR cookies for Matilda’s upcoming baptism.
