Jell-O 1-2-3 Layered Dessert

Jell-O 1-2-3 Layered Dessert

  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 large box JELL-O Gelatin (6 oz)
  • 1 large container Cool Whip, frozen (16oz)

Mix 3 cups boiling water with the powdered JELL-O.  Add 2/3 of the frozen Cool Whip to the JELL-O while it is still hot.  Pour into small clear drinking glasses.  Chill at least 3 hours.  Gently spread the remaining 1/3 of the cool whip on top of the JELL-O once it has set.  This recipe makes 8 servings when using 6 ounce clear plastic cups, as pictured above.  It can also be done in a glass casserole dish.  For a 9″ x 13″ batch simply double this recipe.  We love this for casual barbecues and holidays.  It especially fun when using lime JELL-O for St. Patrick’s Day.
